Cheryl Botts

Cheryl Botts completed her undergraduate work at SUNY Brockport where she received a double major a B.A. degree in Spanish as well as in Modern Dance. She attended Universidad de Salamanca Spain, living there for 8 months. In her now nearly 20-year career of teaching Spanish, Cheryl has taught preschoolers through college age students. She obtained her M.A. at SUNY Binghamton in 1992. Her thesis was a study on Mayan-speaking families and culture in the Yucatan, Mexico. Cheryl received a grant in 1996 and taught one year in Chile through the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program. She continues to build a business teaching adults and children. She also owns a guesthouse in Danby and presently lives with her husband and child (learning both English and Spanish) in the Binghamton area.
