More Than Sports with Donyan and Mike – July 27-31
For current students ages 7 – 12

Join Donyan and Mike for a 5 day sport adventure! We’ll start with team building challenges and group puzzles and then apply what we’ve learned to various team sports (baseball/softball, soccer, basketball and ultimate frisbee). This is a great opportunity to try out different sports and have fun solving challenges! Participants will need to bring a lunch and water bottle each day. Please wear sneakers and clothing for sports/athletics.

Mike Bianconi has a degree in Sports Management and loves working with children. He has worked in both youth development and recreation at the Ithaca Youth Bureau and Cornell Outdoor Education, and as a coach at Ithaca High School.

‘Scratch’ and More with Deb Adams – July 6-10th
For current students ages 7-10 with permission of instructor

Using Scratch, a computer programming language developed at the MIT Media Lab to enable students to be creative with computers, children will learn how to program their very own unique games, animations and interactive stories. This camp is a fun way to introduce younger students to the building-blocks and foundation of programming while tapping into their imaginations. (No previous programming experience is required.)

Please contact Deb (deb@eacmsi.org) and then register for ‘Scratch’ and More.
